Grammys 2022 Fashion Walk of Shame

This Sunday’s Grammys featured an array of gorgeous looks from Billie Eilish to Olivia Rodrigo, but as many stunning looks were present, there were just as many fashion atrocities. Please remember, this is all in good fun and I don’t have anything against these celebs, but some people need to be reprimanded for their appalling fashion choices.

Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X has a pristine track record when it comes to award show outfits, so I’ll give him a pass, but this outfit was horrific. The pearls were tacky, and the outfit looked like a gaudy band costume. The butterfly was unnecessary and weird. The makeup was boring, and the top looks like a Spirit Halloween costume gone wrong.

Justin Bieber

Where do I begin? Justin has once again failed the red carpet. Every year, at every fashion event, men wear different variations of the same suit with different shoes. I guess Justin was feeling adventurous and decided to wear a suit two sizes too big? I don’t know what he was thinking with the clunky shoes, but clearly no one in his life loved him enough to advise him not to wear those hideous metal boots. He really thought he did something, but he, in fact, did not. Embarrassing, please get help if you enjoyed this look.

Lady Gaga

I was disgusted and frankly disappointed to hear that Lady Gaga received lots of praise for this outfit. Gaga showcased many outfits during the ceremony, but this was her primary look. The black and white dress is so unbearably generic. Gaga was clearly trying for a classy look but she ended up looking like one of those chocolate vanilla split cookies from Publix. For a woman so notorious for iconic red carpet looks, this was so heart wrenching to see. Gaga, please get a new stylist, or a new hairstyle. Either works.

Chrissy Teigan

Chrissy Teigan, infamously problematic, added to her list of unforgivable actions with this dress. This looks like a ten year old girl’s idealistic Grammy dress. No originality, no flavor, nothing eccentric or exciting. According to Chrissy, her gown was from Nicole + Felicia Couture, but she could’ve fooled me. The flowy hot pink ruffles remind me of something you would find in Claire’s. Absolutely embarrassing. Please do better next time, Chrissy.
