Tudder: Are Cows Better At Finding Love Than You?

Let me just start this off by saying that learning about the app, Tudder, has been a whirlwind from the start. When I first heard of this app, I was told it was Tinder for cows, and I was immediately intrigued. Based off my limited knowledge, I believed this was a legitimate dating app for cows to find their perfect mate and fall in love. However, my excitement was soon stifled by those around me saying this was obviously not the purpose of the app because cows can’t hold phones or arguably experience love. But fear not, it turns out I was right all along. While cows can’t hold phones, loving owners who want their cows to find their soulmate can.

Thankfully, Tudder is a dating app created specifically for the purpose of finding cows a compatible cow-mate. Through the app, farmers all around the UK and parts of the US are making dating profiles for their breeding cows in hopes of finding the perfect cow-match with which the cows can start a family.

When you open the app, you’re greeted with a message welcoming you to Tudder. Below this message is where you can choose whether you’re looking for female or male cows. After deciding what you’re looking for, you’re presented with images of cows with info about where they live and how old they are. Depending on what gender you’re looking for, you either swipe right or left, just like Tinder. Under the images and info, there is a button with a cow on it that if clicked takes you to SellMyLivestock.com. This website is where you can purchase breeding cows, if you’re truly interested in them. The website offers you more information and the ability to converse with the owner of the cattle to set up a time and a place to pick up their cow for its upcoming date.

Tudder actually makes the lives of breeding farmers much easier. Instead of having to blindly travel around to different farms flooded with all kinds of cattle in hopes of finding one you want, it is all simplified down in the app. From the comfort of their own home, in an incredibly time-efficient manner, they can find the perfect cows to add to their family farm.
