What Your Friends Want for the Holidays

As the holidays are coming up and Black Friday and Cyber Monday have passed, here are some things that are good ideas to give your friends! I have divided it by grade to make it easier for you.

Freshmen

Since most ninth graders are 14 or 15, a car is not a good gift idea. The clothes that are currently trendy right now are jean jackets, scrunchies, fuzzy jackets, and more. Going with clothes are shoes. Shoes can range in prices, but a cute pair of vans can be less expensive than Jordans. While most teenagers want money and clothes, ninth graders specifically want electronics. An iTunes gift card is great for music and a Nintendo Switch can be good for playing with friends, but a new phone may be overpriced.

Here is what many freshmen have on their holiday wish list:

Jean jackets

World Peace

A Ronald Acuna jersey

iTunes gift card

A pair of sneakers

Makeup

Clothes

Slippers

Money

Nintendo Switch

A new phone

Sophomores

Most tenth graders are 15-16, which means they want a car. Although car was what they asked for more than anything, there were also some items that friends could get. A giftcard to Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts is perfect because now they can drive there. Even cute car stuff is good if you know they are getting a car. There are some more common things such as clothes, shoes, and jewelry. A cute and cheap ring or jibbitz for your crocs is a perfect friend gift.

Here is what many sophomores have on their holiday wish list:

Money - gift card

New phone

Clothes

Car

Virtual credits

Record player

Dresses

Crocs

Boots

Shoes

Jewelry

Concert tickets to hear Dwayne Johnson sing

Juniors

Junior year is debalty the hardest year of high school. When asking juniors what they want, I heard a lot of people telling me, “Easier classes.” Then, I went on to think that if they want easier classes, they could go to Starbucks to get work done because they have lots of work. A gift card is perfect because they can already drive. Since most juniors have cars, some wanted a cute freshener, which is cheap and easy to get.

Here is what many juniors have on their holiday wish list:

Gift cards (Sephora, Urban Outfitters, Lululemon)

Money

Clothes

Earbuds

World Peace

A nice jacket

Books

Shoes

Boots

Car stuff

A vacation (with friends)

Concert tickets

Money

Seniors

Every year, seniors are stressed out applying to college, worrying if they will get in, and writing application essays for college. In addition to what most juniors want, seniors also wanted things for their dorms. A cute and perfect friend gift is to make a collage for when they leave or even get a trinket that is a reminder of your friendship.  Even though some of these are high end, some could be under $20 if you go to the right store.

Here is what many seniors have on their holiday wish list:

A nice break

Food

Money

Socks

New computer

Printer

A new phone

Airpods

New shoes

Jewelry
