Chick-fil-A's New Fall Menu: The Milkshake Steals the Show
Chick-fil-A’s 2026 fall menu dropped on Aug. 24, featuring three new items: the chicken & waffles sandwich, the s'mores milkshake and the s'mores frosted coffee. After trying them for myself, one item clearly came out on top.
Let's start with the sandwich. Tucked between two waffles instead of a regular bun is a chicken filet, applewood-smoked bacon and honey butter with a side of syrup for dipping. The flavors work well together. However, if you are not a huge chicken &waffles person to begin with, it won’t blow you away. While it was good, it was not something I would rush to order again.
Now, the real star of the new lineup is the s'mores milkshake. The hand-spun Chick-fil-A vanilla soft-serve Icedream blended with s'mores flavor brings back that campfire nostalgia. The milkshake tastes just like the real thing: sweet, rich and packed with the graham cracker and chocolate flavor that makes s'mores so good in the first place. Out of everything on the new menu, this was easily my favorite.
Chick-fil-A has been leaning into this "Newstalgia" theme all year by taking classic flavors and giving them a new twist; the s'mores milkshake nails that idea perfectly. While the sandwich is a fine addition to the menu, people should be lining up for the milkshake.
The S'mores frosted coffee combines the S'mores flavor with Chick-fil-A's cold brew and Icedream, producing a taste similar to that of the milkshake but with a coffee twist. It was acceptable, though not as good as the milkshake, and it won't benefit you very much if you're not a fan of coffee.
The Chicken & Waffles Sandwich is decent. But if you are not already a fan of that flavor combination, do not expect it to change your mind. My take: skip straight to the s'mores milkshake. It is so worth it.
