Starbucks Fall Menu Review
Every time fall rolls around on the calendar many people look forward to the release of the Starbucks fall menu. It feels like each year it is releasing earlier and earlier. The most famous returning classic item would have to be the Pumpkin Spice Latte. This year there might be an up and coming favorite with the release of the Iced Banana Bread Latte.
The day the fall menu was released I went to Starbucks to get the iced Pumpkin Spice Latte. When I walked in I saw that they have all of their fall decorations adorning the interior.. It was definitely a weird feeling to go from 90-degree weather outside to a fall spectacular inside. The decorations definitely got me in the mood for a Pumpkin Spice Latte.
An iced PSL is the same as a hot one. It comes with pumpkin sauce, pumpkin spice topping, and whipped cream. As soon as I took my first sip I felt like I was in fall, all of the leaves had changed colors, and football season was in full swing. The pumpkin flavor was very strong and almost felt like too much at times. The whipped cream made it nice, creamy, and balanced out the pumpkin flavor a little bit. Overall, I would rate this drink a 8.5/10 and I recommend everyone should get one this fall.
A few days later I went back to Starbucks to get the brand New Iced Banana Bread Iced Latte. This one I knew I was going to like because I enjoy bananas a lot. The first thing I noticed when I took my first sip was how sweet the drink is. The banana flavor was strong, but the brown sugar and cinnamon made it taste more like actual banana bread instead of just a banana drink. I also really liked the cold foam because it gave the drink some extra sweetness. One thing I did not like about the drink was that it did not have a strong coffee flavor. If you like sweeter drinks, you would probably enjoy it, but if you like strong coffee, this might not be your favorite. Overall, I rate the banana bread latte an 8/10.
After I had tried both of the drinks I thought if the banana bread latte has a chance to be as popular as the Pumpkin Spice Latte. I think because of the fact that the Pumpkin Spice Latte has more of a fall taste it will still be more popular than the Banana Bread Latte but it is still worth a try.
