Galloway Team Update 5/9-5/13

In the week of 5/9-15/23 galloway sports are coming to a close as the year ends.

The Sports banquet was held on wednesday May 10 to commemorate the year and award athletes and teams. Jason Danforth ‘25, Amir Arrington ‘23, and Tiana Thompson ‘24 all won athlete of year for having an amazing performance in their respective sports. The Varsity Girls basketball team and the Vasity Boys tennis team received team of the year awards. Ethan O’kelly ‘23 received his 12 letter award for lettering 12 times over the course of four years of varsity sports.

The Varsity track had their State Championship meet with some great performances from our athletes. Adair Carlin ‘26 won first place in Girls Pole vault final with a 12-01.00ft pole vault beating out the person in second by almost 2 feet as a freshman. Our Women’s 4x800 relay got 6th place with a time of 10:42.54 and our Mens 4x800 got 8th place with a time of 8:33.17. We congratulate our athletes for their wonderful performance. The future of the Galloway track team looks very bright.
