Galloway Teams Update: week 4/10-4/16

In the week of 4/10-4/16, the spring season for many spring sports came to a close as Senior night was held on Friday last week.

The Varsity Track team has their final non regional meet at Lovett on April 12. Galloway’s track team has already made huge accomplishments throughout the season. Multiple school records have been broken and Galloway's long distance team has been very dominant in their meets. Adair Carlin ‘26 placed first overall in pole vaulting for the meet. The Scots kept up their high performance with Alex Lewis ‘23 placing twelfth in the 100 meter dash. Overall, the boys placed sixth out of eight teams and the girls placed seventh.

The Varsity Boys Soccer team played their final match of the season this Wednesday against Oglethorpe County. The boys early in the first half took a 1-0 lead. Unfortunately, the boys conceded two late goals which led to a tough loss in the state tournament. With their first state appearance in five years, the boys shocked the region and played their hearts out all season. Congratulations to all the players who gave it everything.
The Varsity Tennis team held a practice match this week. The boys team were only able to take one win in the five game match, losing 1-4. The girls match resulted in a 3-2 win for the Scots. With wins coming from Seniors, Lily Schweber and Rachel Graves.
