D23 Recap

D23 Expo 2022 just happened this past weekend for the first time since 2019. This is a Disney convention for fans to see all the upcoming and new exciting things happening in all things Disney. Here is a recap of a few of the movies they announced!

“Inside Out 2”:  

This movie will be coming out in Summer 2024 and based on the emotions of the main character Riley, who is now going to be a teenager. The five main emotions, Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust are still going to be in it, but there will be new emotions that they have yet to announce. 

“Mufasa: The Lion King”:

 Will center on Simba’s dad, Mufasa, as a child orphan, and will be told from two different perspectives, Rafiki, and Timone and Pumba. 

“Peter Pan and Wendy”: 

At D23 expo, actors Ever Anderson who plays Wendy, Jude Law as Captain Hook, and Alyssa Wapanatâhk as Tiger Lily took the stage at the expo. They said that this story looks back at Peter Pan and Captain Hook's backstory, and really sees what happened between them. They also said that this movie will focus equally between Wendy and Peter. 

“Captain America: New World Order”:

Typical of Marvel, there is not much info on this information other than the release date on May 3, 2024.  

“Indiana Jones 5”:

Actors Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Antonio Banderas and Shaunette Renée Wilson, and, of course, Harrison Ford will be starring in this upcoming movie, whose plot remains a secret.
