Ranking Starbucks' Iced Coffee Drinks

I love iced coffee. Whether it’s mid-July and 95 degrees or early January and 25 degrees, you can always catch me enjoying a refreshing iced beverage, preferably from Starbucks. While a warm coffee can set the mood for the winter holidays, the only way to satisfy my coffee craving is to ask the barista for an iced coffee. In honor of that, here are my favorite iced coffee drinks from Starbucks:

1.Iced Toasted Vanilla Oat Milk Shaken Espresso

A lot of the time, Starbucks drinks can be excessively sweet, but this drink strikes that perfect balance between overly sweet and too bitter. This drink is one of the most caffeinated at Starbucks and is perfect for anyone who wants a morning caffeine buzz. Any of Starbucks’ shaken espresso drinks are terrific, but this one is superior.

2. Iced Peppermint Chocolate Mocha

This is the best holiday drink at Starbucks. Hands down. Whether you get the white chocolate or standard version, it’s delicious every single time. This drink tastes like the holidays as it includes a blend of chocolate, peppermint and espresso.

3. Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte

The drink. The myth. The legend. Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte is possibly the most iconic coffee drink on the menu. Most people probably get this drink hot, since it’s not available at Starbucks until the fall, but I always get it iced. Maybe that’s because it’s still in the 90s in Atlanta, or maybe it’s because iced coffee is simply better. The combination of nutmeg and cinnamon with the bliss that is Starbucks’ pumpkin syrup makes this an unbeatable drink.

4. Iced Caramel Macchiato

This is one of the drinks on the menu that walks the fine line between perfect and too sweet. This drink is essentially a vanilla latte with caramel drizzle but the combination of flavors is immaculate. This beverage is offered hot, but most of the time, people opt for the iced option. Even as someone who doesn’t love caramel, this drink is still incredible.

5. Iced Caffe Mocha

I went back and forth deliberating what would be the final drink on this list. I lost sleep deciding between this coffee and other delicious iced beverages such as the Iced Cinnamon Dolce Latte and Iced White Chocolate Mocha. I eventually decided that this classic was the way to go. Despite it being iced, this is still one of the richest drinks on the Starbucks menu. The dark chocolate flavor mellows the sweetness of the drink, leveling it into perfection. The versatility of this coffee is incredible because I can enjoy it on a hot summer day when I want a sweet treat or in winter when I want a richer flavor. The palatable chocolate flavor secures the Iced Caffe Mocha as a top five iced coffee at Starbucks.
