Galloway is bringing back the literary Magazine
Ms. Reed's creative writing class is creating a new journal for Galloway students to share their artistic skills. Anyone can submit to it. All you have to do is fill out a short google form that goes to Ms. Reed sharing what you want to put in the journal. Deadline is December 3rd!
Submissions can vary from photography and flash fiction to short stories and poetry. Flash fictions would have to be under 1,000 words and short stories would have to be under 5,000 words. The photographs could be anything that you find interest in and same for the short stories. Galloway has had a literary magazine in the past but it was not up for a few years. Creative writing wanted to bring it back because they really want to showcase the different talents in Galloway that students have and share it to everyone in the school.
This journal is really a place for students to express themselves. I talked to Ms. Reed, and she said, “Voices should be heard, and it’s all about expression of self.” The class is going to try to do a few journals with different themes. An example of a theme, Ms. Reed said, was love. The class is going to try to print one copy for every kid in UL.
