The Best Movie Snacks

Who doesn’t want to munch on a tasty snack while watching a long movie? Whether it be a bag of chips, a bag of candy, or a container of cookies, you can’t really go wrong. It sometimes depends on if you are watching the movie in your bed or at the theatre, but the best snacks are generally the ones that take longer to eat. If it lasts you most of the movie, there is no need to pause or leave the theatre for more. Below are some of the best and most delicious snacks for a movie.

Nachos

This is a good option if you’re in the mood for a filling and larger meal. You can make them at home, order them at a restaurant, and even buy them at some movie theatres. They definitely can get messy, but that’s part of the fun!

Pizza

Pizza is another classic but amazing snack to have while watching a movie. The best time to order pizza is for a stay at home movie night with friends and family. You can snuggle up with blankets, get comfy on the couch, and enjoy some delivered pizza while watching a movie.

Blondies

If you want to have a more decadent and creative snack, blondies are the way to go. You can bake these at home and sneak them into the theatre or eat them in bed while watching Netflix on your computer. If you’re at home, you can even warm them up and top them with vanilla ice cream!

Trail Mix

If you want a healthier option to eat during a movie, trail mix is the perfect snack for you! If you go to Target or Publix there is a whole section with multiple brands and variations of nuts, chocolate, and dried fruit. My favorite is the caramel cashew trail mix from Target.

Sour Patch Watermelons

The last movie I went to, I brought a huge bag of Sour Patch Watermelon candy. If you get the 19lb bag as shown in the image, you are set for the whole film. It is perfect to pass the bag around and share it with a few friends. They don’t get messy, have a great sour then sweet taste, and last a long time. This bag is usually around five dollars which is a great price for this amount of candy.

Popcorn

Buttered popcorn is a must-have, classic snack at the movie theatre. I have never been to a theater that doesn’t offer it. It is definitely one of the louder options, but most enjoy and eat it. What is not to like about this salty, extremely buttery, and delicious snack?

In my opinion, these are the best snacks for the movies. I love picking up a pizza, getting comfy at home, and watching a long movie on a rainy day. I also love passing around and sharing a huge bag of sour patch watermelon with my friends. These snacks are filling, delicious, and perfect for the movies!
