The Powerful Pats
Okay, the NFL is officially rigged. The Patriots already have won six Super Bowls over the past twenty years. This means that they have won more than one-quarter of the Super Bowls in the twenty-first century. That is absolutely insane. The team includes Tom Brady, probably the best quarterback of all time, and, Julian Edelman, one of the best receivers in the league. The Patriot’s all-star coach Bill Belickick is also one of the best coaches in NFL history.
Because of all of this, I agree with Stephen A. Smith, a famous sports analyst when he says, “the Patriots are going to win the Super Bowl, no doubt.” Don't get me wrong, I love the Falcons, but The Patriots have too much super power.
Despite losing Antonio Brown, The Patriots have still proved their dominance over the other NFL teams. They still have all-star receivers such as Julian Edleman, who won the MVP in super bowl 53 against the L.A. Rams. They are also in a pretty easy division so making the playoffs isn't even a question, it's advancing to the Super Bowl that matters. If the Patriots live up to expectations, this will be their seventh Super Bowl victory, which is absolutely insane.
As the season continues, we will look to see if there are possibly any other NFL teams that stand a chance against the powerful Patriots. As of now, the Chiefs and the Rams are the only teams that I believe have a chance to leave the Patriots in defeat.
For the defense, I believe they are going to struggle with the expectations set because of the offense. The offense has no problem getting the ball down the field, but can the defense make crucial stops and do their part in the teams success? We’ll have to find out!
