Spotify Wrapped Up

To anyone who doesn’t have Spotify, this article isn’t for you. Even if you download Spotify right now, you probably still won’t care about this article. Just a heads up.

If you’re a Spotify user and you still have the password to your email, chances are you opened a link sent to you by Spotify to look at your Top 100: the 100 songs you played most throughout the year. This email also tells you how many minutes you’ve spent during 2018 listening to music. (Personally, I spent almost 35,000 minutes listening to Spotify, which was about 7% of my year.) Spotify gives you several more stats about the music you listened to during the year, like your top five artists and songs.

I love that fact that Spotify personalizes your experience within the app. I think it is so interesting to see my favorite songs from the year. I was listening to the Top 100 playlist Spotify created for me, and some of the songs I couldn’t even remember the name of. I am always running out of music to listen to, so it was fun to listen to songs I hadn’t heard in a few months.

I got Spotify Premium as a Christmas gift last year, and let me tell you, it is the best gift I have ever received. I use Spotify more than any other app on my phone. If you’re contemplating getting Spotify, just do it. The $10 per month may seem expensive, but the wrap-up at the end of the year could be your deciding factor. Plus, there’s a student discount that also includes Hulu!

If you really like your Top 100, send it to me! I always need new music. Feel free to listen to my Top 100 here.
